Parallels 18: resolution stuck at 1024x768

I have Parallels 18.2.0 (53488) running on Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68). A virtual machine with Mojave 10.14.6 is stuck with a resolution of 1024x768: no other options are available.

This is an old problem that has been reported with earlier versions of Parallels and, following previous suggestions, I've tried it with and without Parallel Tools but no other display resolutions are available. I had the same problem with a Mavericks VM but Ubuntu supports the screen of my 16 inch Intel MBP properly.

I have the same problem. Looks like the Parallels display driver doesn't load so there's only the default generic display driver which is limited to 1024x768. Can't see a way of installing an alternative display driver... That resolution is not going to work for our deployments so a bit of a non starter.
