Parallels 15 VM post-installation problems

Hello, All --
I have Parallels 15 running under Catalina on a 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro. I have High Sierra installed in a VM (I still need to run some 32-bit apps).
I have 2 problems. First, the share folder doesn't work. The VM sees it as empty. My work around has been to use a server reachable via my browsers to pass files. Not too cool.
Second, my settings for USB drives are not honored. I want Parallels to ask, but it doesn't.
All advice appreciated.

Hello, did you reinstall Parallels Tools and check the issue?

Hi Maria -- I had not. Didn't think to look for that tool in my kit. But I have now, and things seem fine.

Hello good morning, I tried to update parallels desktop windows 7 and now I get a blue screen and then system repair but it cannot be repaired, what can I do?
