Parallels 12, Windows 8 & 10, macOS Sierra: Complete Crash of Mac

Dear all,
I am experiencing the following problem since 2-3 months:
Situation:
  • Occasionally, during high activity of Windows (I can hear the fans work heavily and can see in the activity monitor of the mac that CPUs are at 400%) my Mac shuts down completely
  • The screen will go black, the apple logo on the back of the screen and the keyboard will stay lighted for roughly 10 more seconds, the fans will work heavily for about the same time and then everything goes black
  • I can restart the machine/computer/MacBook normally afterwards
  • For me there is no clearly observable pattern (it does not matter if I am using excel/powerpoint/other applications)
I have done the following:
  • I installed a new virtual machine with Windows 10 (I figured it might be the old version of Windows 8) -> same problem
  • I went to the apple store (I figured it has to do something with the hardware) -> all hardware test were ok
  • I have resetted the NVRAM and SMC multiple times -> same problem
System & Software I am running:
  • Parallels 12.2.1 (41615)
  • macOS Sierra Version 10.12.6
  • MacBook Pro (Retina 15', Mid 2014)
  • Processor: 2,2 GHz Intel Core i7
  • Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
  • Windows 10 Home (1703) 15063.0 64 Bit
  • Settings in Parallel for Windows 10
    • 3 Processors
    • 4096 Memory
    • 512 Mb for Graphic

Hello @MichaelM35 We would request you to completely uninstallation of Parallels Desktop and its traces (taken from http://kb.parallels.com/en/113744)
  • Quit Parallels Desktop.
  • Launch Terminal application (Applications > Utilities > Terminal).
  • Execute the following commands separately (one by one):
    sudo su
    NOTE: You will be prompted to enter your Mac password after executing the first command. Due to security measures you won't be able to see the password itself, just type it in and hit return/Enter.

    rm -rfd /System/Library/Extensions/prl*

    rm -rfd ~/Library/Preferences/com.parallels*

    rm -rfd ~/Library/Preferences/parallels

    rm -rfd ~/Library/Parallels

    rm -rfd ~/Library/Saved\ Application\ State/com.parallels.desktop.console.savedState

    rm -rfd /Library/logs/parallels.log

    rm -rfd /Library/Preferences/Parallels/

    rm -rfd /private/var/db/Parallels/

    rm -rfd /private/var/.parallels_swap

    rm -rfd /private/var/db/receipts/'com.parallels*'

    rm -rfd /private/var/db/Parallels/Stats

    rm -rfd /private/var/root/library/preferences/com.parallels.desktop.plist

    rm -rfd ~/Applications\ \(Parallels\)/

    rm -rfd /Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app/

  • Restart the Mac.
  • Install Parallels Desktop again - http://kb.parallels.com/123891 and check it helps.
