I am experiencing the following problem since 2-3 months:
Situation:
- Occasionally, during high activity of Windows (I can hear the fans work heavily and can see in the activity monitor of the mac that CPUs are at 400%) my Mac shuts down completely
- The screen will go black, the apple logo on the back of the screen and the keyboard will stay lighted for roughly 10 more seconds, the fans will work heavily for about the same time and then everything goes black
- I can restart the machine/computer/MacBook normally afterwards
- For me there is no clearly observable pattern (it does not matter if I am using excel/powerpoint/other applications)
- I installed a new virtual machine with Windows 10 (I figured it might be the old version of Windows 8) -> same problem
- I went to the apple store (I figured it has to do something with the hardware) -> all hardware test were ok
- I have resetted the NVRAM and SMC multiple times -> same problem
- Parallels 12.2.1 (41615)
- macOS Sierra Version 10.12.6
- MacBook Pro (Retina 15', Mid 2014)
- Processor: 2,2 GHz Intel Core i7
- Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
- Windows 10 Home (1703) 15063.0 64 Bit
- Settings in Parallel for Windows 10
- 3 Processors
- 4096 Memory
- 512 Mb for Graphic
