Open a file from Mac OS Finder with a Windows app problem when using Coherence

I have a Windows 11 Pro VM with Office 265 installed inside the VM. I running Parallels 27 and Mac OS 26.6.2

In Mac OS, when I click to open an Excel file from Mac OS finder, Parallels starts Excel from the Windows 11 VM. Then Excel on Windows starts and open the document, but a window (in Mac OS) telling me Excel is starting stay opened at all time unless I exit Excel.

Same thing with Word, when opening a Word document from Mac OS, Word starts from the Windows VM, but a window (in Mac OS) stating Word is starting stay opened until I exit Word.

This is the same behaviour when opening a file from Mac OS with a Windows app.

Note this behaviour only happen when using Coherence.

I was not having the behaviour back in version 26. Is this a normal behaviour now in version 27 ?

Same here since V27. Really annoying. MS office can still be opened normally (even in coherence mode) when going directly through windows / word but that requires
1787981906965.png1787981919536.pngand then calling the file. But this is not the purpose of a "coherence" mode. it was actually more coherent before...Same for powerpoint and excel but interestingly not for OneNote. For OneNote everything is fine from the beginning.

I am sure the Parallels guys will find a quick fix... but it is funny the did not catch it from the beginning... MSOffice Products are the key reason why Parallels exists in the first place....

In the meantime there is an interesting one click work-around:
if you take the docx-File (or PPTX or XLSX) on the MacOS desktop and simply drag it to the 4 blue squares of Windows in the MacOS DOCK at the bottom, the MS-Office file opens in Windows and without problems.
