Only get Parallels Control Centre but no Windows desktop

After I made a backup through Time Machine and restarted my MacBook I get a narrow menu from Parallels Control Centre with on the left side my Mac desktop and on the right side buttons foe Windows 10 with which I can only shutdown Windows. On my Mac menu bar I get a MS Windows icon which displays the Windows Start menu, but I cannot get to the Windows desktop. Nor can I make the screen larger. I seems as if the normal Windows desktop het disappeared.

Is this a latest Parallels feature, or just a bug?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello wouterk1, the view mode that you are is Coherence. So to exit out of coherence mode, please click the Parallels icon || in the menu bar, then choose Exit Coherence and see if this works. To know more about coherence mode, please refer this article http://kb.parallels.com/4670 Thanks!
