Upgrade to the Parallels 16 for Mac Pro Edition 16.0.0 (48916)
the issue was still occupied, so is there any idea to solve it ?

I had an update on our ticket regarding this issue.

Here is a copy paste from their email.

"We've created this ticket to update you regarding the progress on the issue with the sound on Mac being turned off randomly after starting a virtual machine in Parallels Desktop.

Our developers are working on the issue with their colleagues from Apple because the issue is quite complicated and can take place even without using Parallels Desktop:

According to Apple representatives, the issue is supposed to be resolved on macOS Big Sur.

Not sure if it's relevant or not, but a month or so ago i removed Zoom from my mac as we were moving over to Skype, and the problem sorted itself out. However just now i had to reinstall Zoom for a meeting with client and immediatly after ending the meeting the audio crashed.

Could Zoom be causing this?
 
Doing a bit of digging on the Apple support forums and talking to Apple support, it dpes seem to be Zoom that is causing issues (for me atleast). Apple support told me there's nothing they can do since Zoom is not on the App Store and thus not verified by them. I'll send and email to Zoom and see what they say
 
I was having the same issue. And changing the Hypervisor to Apple and Audio type to AC97 solved the problem. But this is a workaround. Parallels really need to step up their game.

I was at macOS Mojave (version 10.14) and PD 15.1.2 - all worked good.
The problem started when i have updated to Catalina 10.15.2.
Now when i run more than one virturtual machines at the same time, system sound is not working!
When i stop one of the running ones - sound returns back.
If not returns, i kill the process coreaudiod in my host Catalina. It becomes killed, than MacOs restarts it automatically and sound returnes.
The method with killing coreaudiod works if only one machine is still working. If two or more vm works, sound isn't returned even after killing of the coreaudiod process.

I use your last Parallels Desktop for Mac distributive with 5 virtual machines with Ubuntu 18.04 and another MacOS Catalina 10.15.2.
It is not matter what virtual os to start - sound disables when any two of them became "running" status.
I tried to undestand the moment of sound disabling. When i click at button run and PD is restoring os from pause - sound is still working. But when a loading circle hides, system sound turns off.

I don't know what to do because my working process became too hard: i don't hear sound of notifs and alerts from messangers in one virtual os when i work in another one.

Today i have updated to Catalina 15.1.3 and nothing is happend. The problem is still remains.
Please help me to solve the problem!

Install Parallel desktop 16 your issue will be resolved

Thanks for your input here. I'm already on BigSur. Are you telling me to re-install my entire OS, then re-install parallels to solve the problem?

No, I thought u r using macOS Catalina , because this issue is on Catalina with Parallel desktop 15.1.3 , I faced for an year.

If you are on macOS bigsur you should try to reinstall parallels desktop and check if all the privacy permissions are given properly

Got it. That's my fault then for completely forgetting the origin of this post while I was scrolling through!
 
I am on BigSur 11.2.3 + Parallels 16.1.3 and the problem is here big time.
Only solution is (for me) to suspend the VM, then wake it up.

I use 10.14.6 (18G8022) with parallels 16.1.3, it always fine for me. I think I need keep postpone my macOS upgrade.
