Newer version?

Hi.
I have Ubuntu 12.04 installed in one of my parallels 8 VMs. When I tried to update to a newer version (was it 12.10 or 13.04?), that triggered lots of problems, and I ended up scrapping that VM. So what's the latest version I can use in parallels 8? And where can I get it?

Same thing happened to me. I had 13.04 and tried to upgrade to 13.10. Eventually ended up scrapping the VM and then I tried making a new VM from a clean install of Ubuntu 13.10. It installed fine but Parallels Tools fails to install. It seems like Parallels Tools needs to be updated but there isn't a new update for it yet. It also seems like Parallels wants you to pay for a upgrade to Parallels 9 to get everything to work and are abandoning version 8 users.
