Moving from MacBook Intel to MacBook Silicon Mx

Considering/planning to move from my Intel MacBook Pro 15" 2016 to a new Silicon M2/Mx Pro/Max, in a few months.

Before a almost 2 years medical stop I had a couple of well working Windows 10 VMs (one for my job and one for Microsoft based non-AAA games) on my Parallel's expired Pro license. Will they still work unchanged on the Parallels new license 18+ I will buy for the new MacBook? Will I be forced to upgrade my VMs to Windows 11 (a bit hard to do on my job's VM than the game's), or to convert their macOS files in a way, or to buy something else than the new license, to have them work the best they can on the new MacBook?

Your VMs are not portable to Mac silicon. You will need to create a new VM under Parallels 18, install Windows 11 (Professional I believe), and then you need to reinstall the games.
 
Keep in mind that you'll Also be dealing with compatibility concerns because of the change from x86 to ARM, so you may want to test before going full transition.

The game VM it's the very minor of my concerns :) My work's one will require reinstalling the OS (easy), reintroduce links to a couple of networks, reinstall one buy one all the applications I used (from the simpliest like editors to the massive Oracle & co). And with the support of my collegues, in my Office of course, and I'm still not able to walk not to step ladders... :(

Considering my previous reply, it will be better to stick to my MacBook Pro 2016 :(
I won't be paying bills with a fast Age of Empires IV, but a not-so-slow MacBook for my IT Consultant job will have to... sigh...

Depending on your overall needs, maybe just consider getting a 2019 MBP as a steppingstone? You'll be able to go all the way to Sonoma (maybe one more?) if you'd like, still be able to use things like Bootcamp, and should be able to get one for a decent price while Also being able to trade your old Mac somewhere if you like. I know that two of the three below will definitely buy / trade-in your Mac. All links are filtered to the 2019 model for simplicity.
