I cloned my MacBook Pro's hard drive to a portable hard drive and verified that the clone is bootable. I did this because I won't have my new Mac before I get rid of the old one. Anyway, I verified that I am able to boot my PVM (Windows 7) from the cloned drive so I'm good to go for formatting the MacBook's hard drive before I sell it.
My question is, how to I get the PVM from my portable hard drive to the new Mac when it arrives, without having to create a new VM or install a new copy of Windows? Is it as simple as installing Parallels 7 on the new Mac and then copying the .pvm (found in User/Documents/Parallels) file to the new Mac's Parallels folder?
