Mouse/trackpad scrolling issues

Same here on my M4 Macbook Pro. Really frustrating and annoying. I tried on my M3 Macbook Pro as well. Same issue. Why isn't Parallels communicating about resolving this?
Still no progress on resolving the scrolling issue. After reinstalling a bunch of older versions of Parallels Desktop, where I left off is that they asked me to set up a brand new VM which I haven't gotten around to doing. Anyone try this and see if it fixes the scrolling issue?

Please note that this is a known issue with Parallels Desktop and our development team is currently working on this issue.
As a temporary workaround, please follow the steps below to regain back normal scrolling (Without needing to reinstall Parallels Tools):
1. Open Parallels Desktop > Launch your Virtual Machine
2. If you notice the slow scrolling issue > Click on the "Actions" menu on top of the Mac menu bar > Suspend
3. Once the virtual machine is suspended > Resume it again by clicking on the play button
Performing the steps above shall allow you to regain back the normal scrolling.

1. Open Parallels Desktop > Launch your Windows Virtual machine experiencing the scrolling issue.
2. Click on the Windows Start Icon > Type CMD > Right click on Command Prompt > Run as Administrator
3. Execute the command below:
powercfg /hibernate off
4. Shutdown the virtual machine (Click on the Windows Start Icon > Click on the Power Button > Shutdown)
5. Launch the Windows Virtual Machine again > The scrolling should be back to normal.

I had the same issue. New MacBook Pro 14'' M4max. disabling hibernation looked to solve the problem. although I guess it is a workaround...

We have released a new update Parallels Desktop 20.1.2 which fixes this issue.
Please install the latest update as soon as possible.
That took a really long time, which is disappointing for paid software.
I've been seeing this issue for several years, and still occurring with v26 of parallels. Happened with MX master 3 and still with 4. Very frustrating. If I shut down parallels and restart it the scrolling starts working again.
Using chatgpt I ended up using the below in terminal. I thought it might have worked since I saw scroll working for longer than before, but no joy, scrolling started to not work again. I am using options+, and I don't want to use optimize for games since I absolutely hate not being able to move fluidly between vm and main OS.
defaults write "com.parallels.desktop.console" NSAppSleepDisabled -bool YES
defaults write "com.parallels.desktop.launcher" NSAppSleepDisabled -bool YES
defaults write "com.parallels.desktop" NSAppSleepDisabled -bool YES

Has there been any update on this? If a shutdown/restart of parallels fixes this, you should be able to debug it. For me this happens with both Windows and Linux VMs. Having to suspend, close Parallels, and restart doesn't take long, but when I'm in the middle of coding, etc, having to pause and do this takes you out of your flow. I can't be the only one frustrated with this. Other than this issue I love Parallels. The best for Windows/Linux vms.
