Mix Windows 8.1 with OS X Yosemite

When I used Windows 7 I could see my OS X Desktop files on my Windows 7 desktop. Now, in Windows 8.1 I can't do it. Please excuse my english because I'm learning it. Thanks.

Hi, I have a Windows 8.1 VM in order to use 2 applications. I allways have to start Parallels on Mac, then choose the Windows VM, then start the Application. Is there a way to start the application immediately on Mac?
This is what I tried allready (following some docs on your support):
- I cannot make the applications to appear in the applications folder on the Doc (Mac)
- I installed the tools to have a Windows 7 look on my Windows 8 VM. That makes it easier for me to work on Windows (I am new to Win8), but that doesn't solve my problem)
