Hey All,
I am using parallels to run windows 10 on my new 2018 MacBook. I see that my MacBook starts getting hot when I run windows 10 and the cpu % in activity monitor is really high. I usually see 140-190% sometimes even 220%+ and rarely see about 70-80% cpu usage. My resource usage under optimization is set to Medium. I turned off Access Windows folders from Mac and Share Mac user folders with Windows. I am giving windows 10 2 processors as recommended and 3g ram. The Graphics are set to Best for Retina display and under general it shows configure for productivity. I was previously using parallels 13 and today upgraded to parallels 14 but the the cpu% seems to have gone up rather then down.
My computer specs are:
8gb ram, 256 HD, 8th gen Intel i5 quad core.
I have applied all the updates for my MacBook.
I am not sure what else to do to bring the cpu% down. I mainly use windows 10 for visual studio for coding and development. My Cpu temps get up to 90 degree Celsius when using windows 10 in parallels. If someone could please help me with this, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
