Latest updated screwed up german parallels keyboard

Hi,

it looks as if the latest update of Parallels 7 somehow screwed with the keyboard in a german Windows 7 guest (64bit). I am not able to type \ or @ etc. anymore. I had to switch to the German default keyboard in the guest and use Windows shortcuts in order to type those special characters again. I am 100% sure this worked before the update and no, no other changes to the system took place. :-)

Anyone seeing simmilar issues?
 
I've found that on the German Parallels keyboard setting, "\" is invoked using the Mac keyboard's right "alt" key + shift + 7. "@" is right "alt" key + "L".
 
I know. That is the way it used to work before the update was installed. It is the Mac keyboard layout. And that does not work anymore within my Win7 VM.
 
Yes it is/was. With "German (Apple) - Parallels" I am barely able to type any special characters (ß\|) at all. I have to set it to "German" and use the windows shortcuts to get anything at all. Hence my question.
 
Odd. It works very well on my machine. I've set my keyboard settings in the Parallels settings to "Profile: Windows", and have turned off every checkbox that I could. Many keys that need the "alt-strg" key combo or "alt-gr" key on a (German) Windows keyboard actually need the right alt key on the Mac keyboard as that is mapped to the "alt-gr" key on a (German) Windows keyboard. Just hitting "alt-ctrl" on the Mac keyboard is not sufficient.
 
I have been using this combination for over 12 months. I know how it is supposed to work. But believe me: The only thing that changed in comparison to last week is the automatic update that was installed. And right after that my keyboard reacts like this:

right alt + ß --> ¿
left shift, left alt, 7 -> PING instead of \
left alt, 7 -> PING instead of |
left alt, L -> PING instead of @

Since this coincides with the autoupdate of parallels it is quite probably that this broke something...
 
The same here.

I was working with this shortcuts the last 2 years without any problems.
Since the last update the backslash was replaced by ¿

Could please anybody give us a hint to solve this problem?!

I've played around with Keyboard Profiles (in Parallels) as well as Keyboard Layouts (in Win).
Works fine in other VMs like OS X or Linux, so I assume it must be a problem with the Parallels Windows-specific drivers.

Using all plain vanilla default settings (e.g. profile Windows) I think I found a pattern that appears to work for most characters:

To locate the characters use your keyboard as if you were running a native Mac program.

Holding down either the right alt key or both the left alt+ctrl keys, press
5 to produce the opening square bracket [
6 to produce the closing square bracket ]
7 to produce the vertical bar |
8 to produce the opening curly bracket {
9 to produce the closing curly bracket }
shift+7 to produce the backslash \
the letter l to produce the at sign @
 
Before the Update, all was fine. The Solutions from ReinerS seem to work only with a few Mac. With my Mac and from the people above it is not working.
