I am cleaning up some VMs that I have used for test. However, I cannot find out which snapshot has been used to create which linked clone as the text in the snapshot just says "Snapshot for linked clone".
When I look at the list of snapshots I can see that there is a red line across the link symbol on some and not others. Does it mean that there are no linked clones connected to the snapshot when there is no red line? In which case I can delete that snapshot to free up some space.
I also understand from some early articles about linked clones that they perform slower than a "real" clone (version 17 I think). Is this still true? So if I am happy with a linked clone I should consider unlinking it?
