Is it just my of is the upgrade policy a money grab...

I buy Parallels 15 licence 3 weeks ago, 19/07/2020, now there is a new version and I have to pay another 49 euro to upgrade to it... Feels like a money grab. Not even a discounted upgrade to reflect the 3 weeks of use I got before the new version was released...
