Installing parallels desktop 12 vs Upgrade? - will it activate properly

Hi, after seeing all of the posts about the end of life for the old activation server and the issues with legacy version activations (at least up to V11) I am asking one of the parallels support people who might be here to answer a 2-1/2 part question (preferably before the Black friday Sales finish!)

(1) Version 12 full licence (for older mac and OS). If I install this, will it activate properly online?

(2) Version 12 Upgrade licence - (not yet used) - Upgrades normally require you to enter the licence code from a previous version (I have licences going wayyyy back V10/v9/v8/v7/v6/v5 etc they were all upgrades & perpetual licences)... Very important! If the activation system based on your login/ account membership does work, as per the previous question, how does it work when the older versions used the older licensing system - I still have ALL of the licence keys and they are registered in my account so the support people can check. I know the old activatepd licensing system will not work as the server has been switched off.

(2 -1/2) I notice someone else asked about purchasing an upgrade directly to V19 (would be V17 for me) from an older V9 version - would my full V12 licence code or upgrade v12 licence code work with an upgrade purchase - the answer to a previous poster in September seemed to imply that this would be OK? This may be a simpler solution than trying to install V12 first and then seeing if the upgrades would work.

many thanks if someone from parallels can answer this for me

PS. I would have emailed "sales" for an answer but email contact is very tightly controlled so ti wasn't available to a mere mortal ;)
