Instability issues with audio, media and eventually touchbar

Hello,
Ever since updating to Catalina I've been experiencing stability issues where:
  • audio frequently stops playing (no volume on any output device)
  • after a while all media stops; spotify is 'unable to play current track' and youtube videos won't play
  • eventually touchbar freezes
I have no foolproof way of reproducing this but it happens multiple times a day. The only resolve is to reboot host machine. I'm suspecting parallels windows 10 vm, screen lock, or a combination of both. Has anyone experienced similar issues? Anyone know where I can find some system traces?
