I just want to allocate more ram

hello,

very very frustrated new user. Trying to get help here, as this company has no dedicated support lines.
I have a macbook air, running Paralells14, just installed it.
i need to allocate more ram than 2gb.
ive tried to go into and move the slider while its open, NO DICE
everything says to close the VM, i close windows, cant access the configure tab
can some mod or support person PLEASE PLEASE tell me how to do this one simple thing?????????????????
 
Hi @seans6 , please go to Configure > Options > Start up and shut down > While Virtual machine shut down > set it to "Keep Windows open" . TAfter that shut down your virtual machine and try to increase the RAM.
