high sierra vm not sharing drives

I am trying to run high sierra in a vm (on high sierra, to be upgraded) Parallels refuses to map the big macs drives to the VM, the VM refuses to support the superdrive. Tried many options, but nothing works. Any ideas?
 
Hello all,
I have the same issue. A High Sierra VM running on a Catalina laptop (the new 16"). I have a shared folder that exists in Catalina. Does not show contents in the VM. (the folder appears but only as if empty.) I've tried all combos of buttons, but no joy. Like Peter, seeking help, please.
