Hide Menu Icons preventing iMac from starting screen saver

I started using Hide Menu Items today and found two bugs:
1. Upon restarting my iMac there was no sound until I opened and clicked out of Hide Menu Items
2. It is preventing the screen saver from starting (I have it set for 10 minutes) and then preventing the display from going off (I have it set for an hour).
Once I closed and quit Hide Menu Items, everything worked fine again.
Any ideas or updates?
