"Hide Menu Icons" not allowing me to change the icons order

After updating to MacOS Tahoe, the "Preferences" on Hide Menu Icons isn't displaying the icons, I can't actually make any changes to how they are displayed, which are supposed to be hidden, etc. The settings that I have configured before work, but I can't change them anymore. How to fix this? Screenshot attached.

Add me to the list....this software is completely broken with the update to MacOS 26. Since it has been escalated, is there an expected resolution timeline?
 
Tied this for the first time today on Tahoe - all the menu items were hidden including Parallels Tools. I launched them from Applications and when I click on the Hide Menu Items tools, nothing comes up. I had to disable the tool's access to Accessibility and Screen Recording and restart to get the menu items back.

Adarsh, any updates on this? I just installed the Tahoe 26.1 system update from Apple - still, same issue. It would help if you could provide at least a ball-park timeframe for resolution.
 
Hallo zusammen, ich hänge mich hier als weiterer Betroffener dran.
Seit dem Update auf macOS Tahoe 26.5 Beta (25F5053d) funktioniert Parallels Toolbox (Version 7.1.0 / 5405) bei „Menüsymbole ausblenden" nicht mehr korrekt:
Die Leisten/Listen (Hidden icons / Always visible icons) bzw. die Einstellungen/Zuordnung werden nicht angezeigt, sodass ich keine Icons mehr verschieben oder konfigurieren kann. Dadurch verschwinden wichtige Symbole (z. B. OneDrive) praktisch „unsichtbar" und lassen sich nicht mehr steuern.
Bitte um Fix bzw. einen konkreten Status/Zeitrahmen, da das Problem seit Monaten besteht.

@Adarsh Jeetun Can you give us an update on this? It's been MONTHS with no information and the software is still broken. There have been several updates to the toolkit in that timeline, but none have addressed this highly disruptive problem. What's the timeline for resolution? Who did you escalate this to? All we're asking for is a little bit of accountability rather than continuing silence.
 
I usually use an external display, so I hadn't noticed this problem before. Today I had to use only the internal display of my MacBook Pro m1 and I'm having the same issue.
 
So I noticed some things, and because Parallels isn't replying, I figured I will. First off, it you have "Show as a Floating Panel" checked, it doesn't work. Uncheck that and it seems to do the trick. Second, to move icons around on the top bar, make sure to hold down the command key.

There are a few items that it can't seem to catch, but most it can. I hope that helps.
 
Oh and one more thing. If you have the Profile guy in your bar and the Hide Menu Items disappears itself. Try killing it in Activity Monitor, start it up again, then click control and drag *IT* to the right of the person profile. When you hide the items, the person icon will still be there, but everything else will be gone and the Hide Menu Icon's will not self destruct.
 
This solution regarding the Command key made a huge difference. I'm not sure why we as users have had to resort to solving the problem ourselves with no hints, updates, or documentation after over a year instead of the people making the software we pay for doing their jobs, but I'll take the end result. Parallels, do better. Thank you fellow user for a workable solution to a highly annoying problem! Who knows...maybe Parallels could use some competent employees in which case I'd gladly nominate you.
