Help with initial configuration

Hi,


I just started using Parallels, used to use VMware. So far this seems pretty smooth.

Anyways.... I use Mac primarily. I only use Windows for Outlook and IE. I need to setup Parallels so that everything is integrated with Mac.

Example- I get an email attachment say a .PDF in Outlook. How do I set up Parallels to open that .PDF using my preferred .PDF viewer? Right now the .PDF is opening in my Safari browser. I want it to open in Adobe 9.

Same goes for word, excel, etc.... files.

.WAV files are opening in Windows, and I want them to open in my application of choice on the Mac side.

Can anyone give me a couple pointers?
 
To set up correct associations in Windows:
1. Right-click the file, choose Open With... -> Choose Default Program
2. In a huge list of apps, select one you need. Mac apps are highlighted by "(Mac)" suffix.
3. Make sure "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" checkbox is enabled and click "OK"

To set up correct associations in Mac:
1. Right-click the file, choose Open With... -> Other...
2. Select the preferred application. Mac applications are stored in "Applications" folder. Windows applications are stored in Places->Your User Name->Applications->VM's Name
3. Make sure "Always Open With" checkbox is enabled and click "Open".

Is there a way to simply make all files open on the MAC side with one setting VS. doing it your way with every single file type?
