Good idea to "Compress this drive to save disk space"

Hello,

I'm using Windows 11 in Parallels Desktop on Macbook Air with M1 silicon. Works GREAT, thanks!
Is it a good idea to set "Compress this drive to save disk space" in Windows? Does it make working in that windows faster? Or does it need more CPU power what makes it all slower?

Thank you for your reply, but this was not my concern.

What I wanted to know is, is it FASTER or SLOWER using "Compress this drive to save disk space" when virtualizing Windows using Parallels on a Macbook Air with a M1 processor?
