Getting the "Unable to verify license signature" error message when trying to activate PD2026

Same issue, installed PD2026 and cannot activate valid Pro licence.
At one stage the Try free for 14 days button did appear, but now it does not.

+1 for another upgrade fail. I also have a valid, active Pro license, and also tried the fix referenced by the original poster. I even tried a full uninstall/reinstall. Still can't use the software I paid for.

Just found this on their support site:

Some of our customers have encountered the message "Unable to verify the license certificate" when trying to activate the Parallels Desktop 26 update.
Rest assured, we know the situation and are working on a fix.
Click the Get Updates button above to be notified about the fix.

Workaround
We recommend waiting for a fix from our side that will be automatically delivered via in-app updater.
  1. Download the latest build of Parallels Desktop 20 from the page.
  2. If you don't want to wait for the fix, please get in touch with our Support team.

I tried to activate PD 26 this morning, and it worked this time. No update to the software, so I'm assuming they fixed something in their license activation backend.

A month since the issue arrose, and I got trapped into this pothole (with Version 26.1.0 (57287)) too. The chflags command does not really help as you still cannot start VMs.

WTF. Why Parallels keeps sending the update if it continues bricking installations is beyond me.
Reliability has become problematic in the last few years, and the product looks less and less like a solution but rather more and more like a problem.

Hello,
Please note that this is a known issue and we are currently investigating.
As a temporary workaround for now, please uninstall Parallels Desktop 26 (open Finder > click on Applications > right click Parallels Desktop and move to bin). Then download and install Parallels Desktop 20.4.1 from:
https://download.parallels.com/desktop/v20/20.4.1-55996/ParallelsDesktop-20.4.1-55996.dmg
Regards,

Does this Version (PD 20.4.1) work with Tahoe 26?
I did the upgrade today, and since than, I had that issue (sent an support Request, but as I did read now, it's a known issue)
I don't need any special Windows function, I just need a working windows, for an actual Windows program that is, for my sadness, not available for Mac (was a long time Windows User).
Regards Peter

Same issue here today. You're not alone Olivier52. Maybe they need to hire people that actually know what the hell they are doing.

I was running 26.0.1 just fine and now they broke activation again with 26.1.0. License signature not recognized over and over and over. Time to dump this is coming very soon.

Same issue. there is clearly a systemic issue with either the efficay of the pre-release testing environment or the version control of the licencing servers. While this is frustrating to me as apersonal user, companies relyin g on thgis for their business cannot tolerate such a hit amd miss offering

Regards,
This post is now one month old. Did you plan to fix it anytime soon?

Same issue. It seems extreme to have to downgrade 6 versions (26 to 20).
How are we supposed to know when it's "safe" to upgrade?

5 days and even though I have a subscription - renewed last month - which is supposed to give me phone and email support, the only options available through the support page are X, Instagram and FB. Needless to say, my subscription is not getting renewed.

Hello,
Kindly note that this issue has been fixed in the latest released update, Parallels Desktop 26.1.1.
You may use this link to download the update and check.
Thanks!
