Error Messgae - virtual machine monitor subsystem

Hello

I have a customer who is reporting this error when he tries to run Parallels Workstation for Macintosh

"Parallels Desktop failed to initialize virtual machine monitor subsystem. Please contact Parallels support."

Anyone have an idea what's going on?

MacBook 10.5.1 same message - not all of the time.
In addition I was unable to create a new virtual machine with a larger hard disk.
 
Hi Guys
Had the same problem and could solve it.
The problem is, that the VM is in suspendet mode - but it has to be stopped!
Just hit "edit - VM" and confirm, that the system has to be stopped to be edited.
Thereafter you can start your VM on the updated 3.0 Version.
