During the loading of the parallels, this message "Can't find parallels driver for usb devices." app

I am using Catalina ver 10.15.5 and Parallels ver 15.1.4
If i look at the USB controller icon i can see the device I am trying to connect to but when i run the application that uses this device it reports
'cant find USB device.'
This was working some time ago, but this problem might have started at around a OSX ver lower and parallels < ver 14 (about)
The USB printer works correctly
How do I resolve this ?

Hello mikec30. Please follow the steps from this article to reinstall Parallels Tools and check if it works fine.

It did re-install from the MAC ok, but it didnt help
this a XP virtual machine running a windows batch file
This exact pk2cmd.exe file runs on a real XP machine
this are the USB devices it sees, and you can see it recognised the
Pickit2 programmer
what can i try next ?
