Do i need Parallels Tools for a simple copy and paste task ?

So if i run Kali, do i really need to install Parallels Tools to copy text from a KaliVM to the Mac Parallels is running on ?
because right now i`m not even able to do a simple copy and paste job.

Yes, Parallels Tools need to be installed on Kali linux virtual machine to perform copy and paste actions.

Please try to reinstall Parallels Tools (Actions -> Reinstall Parallels Tools) )and check the issue.

Although I see reinstall parallels tools under Actions> Reinstall Parallels Tools, such command is in light gray not allowing me to click on it.
