Converting a parallels 15 virtual machine to Virtualbox

Hello

One of my customers asked me convert an existing virtual machine in Parallels (that runs Ubuntu 16) so it can run in Virtualbox on Windows.
I tried to convert the *.hdd file, but this seems to be really tough. Is there an updated tutorial or any other recommondations to fix this problem?

Hi TimD7,

You can install VirtualBox for Mac, import Parallels VM, check that it works and share the resulting VM with your customer.

We don't have export to VirtualBox button as we believe that VirtualBox knows better how to create their virtual machines. Similar to Parallels creating our own virtual machines from other 3rd party formats.
