same issue here I'm apparently having same issue here, after upgrade to mountain lion even I attach usb to virtual machine it can't recognize anymore. I test it in linux virtual machines and windows virtual machines, I reinstall parallels and parallels tools (using uninstall and install,reboot,etc...), but nothing resolved. I'm stuck! Other weird problem is when use usb devices and try to shutdown virtual machines parallels don't do nothing if I force via parallels stop/shutdown/reset nothing happens just continues with status shutdown,stopping I only can start again virtual machine after reboot. Its really annoying me if parallels 8 won't resolve this issue I will try vmware.
The disk was not ejected properly Has there ever been a solution to this issue? I'm seeing the same thing after upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion, whenever I connect the USB to Parallels Mac mini OS X 10.8.2 Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac Build 7.0.15.107 Rev. 796624
