I'm using Parallels in conjunction with Windows XP. I bought this bundle so as to be able to use a Windows-only website builder (Xara Web Designer MX Premium). But, I believe there's some sort of snafu within Parallels that complicates the Xara startup.
Here's how I go about trying to open Xara. I start at Applications (Parallels) --> Windows XP --> Xara.app. When I click the Xara icon, a progress bar saying, "Starting Windows XP" opens. After it's finished, two windows open simultaneously, one layered over the other.
The window labeled Welcome To Windows is unproblematical. It says to open the Windows Start menu where there's (another) Xara icon, which, when clicked, opens the program.
However, a second window, Xara Web Designer MX Premium Setup also opens showing two buttons, "Repair" and "Remove". (I've only experimented with "Repair".) Clicking "Repair" take you down several more circuitous steps before landing on the Xara app to open the program.
I don't understand what function is served by that second window and how to keep it from automatically appearing. I'll appreciate your help.
