Can't use Apple ID for macOS VM on Apple Silicon

I'm trying to create a VM running MacOS. When I reach the stage in installation to specify the AppleID, I get an "unknown error" message. If I skip and try to install later, the field where I would enter my AppleID in settings won't accept characters.

Is this a known issue? Any workarounds?

Unfortunately, I'm still getting errors for "Verification Failed - An unknown error occurred." I created a new VM and installed from the MacOS 15 Beta 3 image from developer.microsoft.com.
 
I still haven't been able to log into AppleID on my VM with the latest public beta (v15.0 Beta (24A5289h).
To Clarify... must I have the beta running on my host machine as well, to get this to work? I'm hoping this is NOT the case. The whole reason I'm trying to run beta in Parallels is so I don't have to run the beta on my main MacBook. Thanks for the help!
 
I just tried this to upgarde my guest system to BETA 6, but still receiving an error when I try to login with my Apple ID.
 
Still failing for me too - Host macOS Sequoia Beta 24A5331b on MacBook Air M2, Parallels 20.0.0 55610 Technical Preview, Guest macOS 14.6.1 23G93. Any updates?
 
I receive a "RESOLVED" status, but I still experience issues with using my Apple ID on the guest system. So, this is still an ISSUE. Any advice?
 
Hey guys, we've just verified that signing into an Apple ID works successfully with macOS Sequoia 15 Release Candidate (both primary OS and in the VM).
The data saved to iCloud is available in the VM (Drive, Passwords, Photos, Notes, Messages).

Known limitations:
  • Cannot sign in to the App Store
  • Cannot sign in to Xcode using Apple ID (HTTP error 401)
 
I am running Parallels Desktop 20 for Mac Pro Edition version 20.0.0 (55653).
I am currently running Sequoia 15 RC (24A335) as my primary OS and in the VM.
I still receive verification failed when trying to sign in using my apple id on the VM.
I will note that the VM was originally created as a Sonoma VM and has been updated to Sequoia.
Any thoughts or help?

Macbook Pro M4 Max, Sequoia 15.1, Parallels Dektop Pro 20.1.1 (55740)
Image of macOS Sequoia 15.1 installed this day.
Unable to sign in App Store, and receive verification of iCloud account that fails each time.
 
I'm running PD Version 20.1.1 (55740) on MBPro M3 Max and macOS version 15.1 (24B83) as a host system and Virtual macOS version 15.1 (24B83),
I can login using my AppleID from browser if I select option login another account (not automatically filled in).
In the standard dialog box, in System Settings, etc. I get the same error as other users.
 
same here: parallels 20.2.0, macOS 15.1.1 on host and macOS 15.1.1 in VM.
After <enter> on Apple ID password I get "An unknown error occurred".
 
The macOS Sequoia VM is useless because all I get are repeating dialogs that the
User name or password is incorrect
No menubar, no dock, and it's userless.
 
I an on 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 and cannot use the VM due to the constantly appearing modals that the user name or password is incorrect. It is not.
