Can't install windows on M1 Mac

I'm trying to create a Parallels VM for windows on my M1 MacBook. I tried following the instructions to download from the Windows Insider program. When I do that, it only gives me an option to download Windows 11. If I download Windows 11 and try to create a parallels VM using the vhdx file I downloaded, I get an error: "Unable to detect Operating System". If I click Continue anyway, and tell it the OS is Windows 11, I get an error "Operation failed".

I also tried downloading the ARM version of Windows 11 from uudump. When I go to create a Parallels VM using the ISO file I created, it correctly identifies the ISO as containing Windows 11. But then a box pops up asking me to "Select windows edition". When I click on that, the only choice is "Select windows edition", it doesn't give me an edition to select. So I can't get past that. I also tried creating a Windows 10 ISO from uudump, and have the same issue. And I tried creating the ISO both on a max using the uudump bash script, and on a windows computer using the uudump cmd file. Same problem - I can't get past "select windows edition".

Thanks! But, sadly, I get the same error. I deleted and reinstalled Parallels Desktop from the App store. Downloaded Win 11 ARM using your link. Am still getting "Unable to detect operating system.". I click Continue (to proceed anyway), then select Windows 11, then Productivity, Continue, Create, and get "Operation failed."
 
Aha! I tried downloading from the Parallels website, and I now seem to be making progress. The issue seems to be with the version of Parallels that's on the app store. Shouldn't that work?
