Cannot install tools

Bit poster
Every time I try to install tools, I get the following error message.

Failed to install parallels shared folders driver

I checked the other threads on this and they do not apply. Does anyone have any ideas?
 
I suggest you completely de-install the Parallels tools from your Windows VM (using the Windows uninstall feature), reboot the VM, and then re-install the Parallels tools. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling Parallels using the uninstaller that comes with Parallels - the uninstaller will ask you if you want to keep your VM files, say "yes" - rebooting your Mac, and re-install Parallels. Start up your VM and install the tools. Good luck!
 
Please help. I was on a chat with one of your people for about 1.5 hours. She kept disappearing for 10 minutes at a time, and then she killed the chat. I have made some progress, but now am getting a sycronization error.
