I'm running Parallels Mac 9 (Build 9.0.24217) on a MacBook Pro and Ubuntu Linux (guest). Since a few days, I cannot put the VM in standby (at least not every time I try).
This is what happens when pressing the standby menu entry: The "spinning circle" appears on the VM, however, the percentage of the "shutdown level" (displayed inside the "spinning circle") never appears. The "spinning circle" just stays for hours, never completing the standby operation.
Even though the standby operation has never completed, I can quit Parallels without errors. After starting again, I receive an error message after starting the VM saying that the VM was put into standby by a newer version of Parallels (which, of course, is not true).
It's a very serious issue, as I have already lost data due to that.
Is there any idea on how to solve the issue?
Thanks for any help.
