I have parallels to run Windows but I use it only to file my taxes. The rest of the time I don't use it. But there is often times when I try to open a file and instead of doing what I want, the Finder (I guess) gives the task to Windows (or probably gives it to Parallels to give it to Windows). e.g. I just try to start what Apple calls "System Settings". I did control-space "Settings" and without looking hit return. It didn't start System Settings. Instead it started Settings in Windows. Can I get all of these features turned off? If I want Parallels, I will start Parallels and at that point, I will start Windows. I don't need any other "quick" access methods. I want Windows as far removed from my life as possible.
