I am moving to a new MBA with less storage than I have now, so I want to turn my Boot Camp partition into a full VM and trash the Boot Camp partition. I have followed the official method of converting a Boot Camp partition by making a new VM with the "use Boot Camp" option, then selecting "import" after the Boot Camp item is added to the VM list. The process finishes without any problems, but when I try to boot the new VM, it says "unable to connect to Hard Disk 1", and then it states "There is no operating system installed in this virtual machine". My MBP has two internal physical disks: a 120GB SSD in the optical drive spot (boot) and a 750GB HDD (extra). The Boot Camp partition is located on the extra HDD. I have completely trashed the newly-created VM and the My Boot Camp listing from the VM list in Parallels and re-created both from scratch, with the same results. The Boot Camp partition boots natively just fine, and the Boot Camp partition boots from within Parallels just fine. But the newly created "Imported My Boot Camp" VM gives me these two errors. I'd rather not have to install Windows fresh all over again.
