Best way to increase fixed VM size

Hey gang-

I've been using a fixed size since way back when (rev.1970) and since I will be upgrading the int'l HD of my MBP and would like to allocate more to my VM. Any suggetions other than reinstall?

The best way is this:

In Parallels, create a new "2nd" hard disk of the size you want.

Start up your VM. The hard disk should mount say as drive D: Buy or download Acronis True Image. If you download it, they give you a trial period.

Use Acronis to clone your C: to your D: It want you to reboot and stuff but it works.

After the clone is complete, make a back up of your entire VM just to be safe.

Then delete your drive C and set your new drive D: as your primary drive (it will become C:).

Reboot the VM and you'll have a bigger drive. Worked GREAT for me.
 
When I create the 2nd hard disk it does not show up in windows XP. Does it have to be a fixed size? any ideas?
