Best option - Parallels Desktop Licensing Question for iMac 27" (2017)

Hello there
I have an iMac 27" (2017) with an i5 processor, 24GB of memory, and a 3.5 GHz quad-core CPU. It's currently running macOS Monterey.

I'm looking for the best Parallels Desktop Standard Edition option for optimal stability and performance on this machine.

Specifically, I'd like to know:
  • Is Parallels Desktop 19 a good choice for my iMac's specs and macOS version?
  • (Should I upgrade to Ventura?)
  • If so, how can I purchase a PD 19 license key directly from Parallels.com?
Alternatively, I have Parallels Desktop 17 installed on a MacBook Air M1. I could upgrade that license to PD 20 and then use the PD 17 license on my iMac? Would this be a recommended approach?

Thank you for your time and expertise. I appreciate your guidance in choosing the best option for my needs.
Thomas

Actually the iMac is right now not running Monterey. I was about to upgrade. Should I stick to an older macOS due to potential performance issues with i5 and Monterey?
