Are the document folders affected (deleted) by uninstalling Parallels?

Hi there,
Are the document folders affected (deleted) by uninstalling Parallels?
I am not sure if the Word documents I wrote in Windows Word will keep alive when I uninstall Parallels.

Hello, when you remove Parallels Desktop virtual machine you can keep files.
Or save your Microsoft Word files on your Mac side also.
Please let us know if it's not that case.

I backed up documents, stopped Windows, removed virtual machine, uninstalled Parallels Desktop, rebooted iMac.
Everything is fine. Backup wasn't necessary.
