applications hanging

I'm using an application with streamed data. The application constantly hangs or freezes. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Host OS
Guest OS
Guest OS amount of memory
Type of computer
Computer RAM
Application in question
Steps to reproducethe problem

I'm using Parallels 3.0 for Mac; build 5160. Host OS is Mac OSX Version 10.5.6; with 2GB Memory. Guest OS is Windows XP SP2 with 28.2 GB free space.

I'm running TD Waterhouse Webroker/Select program which provides streamed market data.

My first suggestion is to upgrade your Parallels Desktop up to the latest build available in the version 3 you run.
