Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter

Hi Folks

I have:

MacBook Pro (Mid 2015)
- macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)
- Parallels Desktop 17 for Mac, Standard Edition, Version 17.0.1 (51482)
- Windows 10
- Apple Thunderbolt 2 to FireWire (400) Adapter

And this adapter is not recognized in Windows 10. With Bootcamp it works flawlessly.
Is there a solution?

Parallels® Desktop 17 for Mac

As the name suggests, Parallels® Desktop 17 for Mac would be developed for the Mac.

The "Apple Thunderbolt 2 to FireWire (400) Adapter" is a Mac product.

In the article I read:

"Cause: Unsupported device or its misconfiguration".

So I'm already amazed software specifically designed for Mac doesn't support a Mac product? Isn't that embarrassing?

What kind of device do you want to connect to FireWire?

The Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire adapter (it's actually a Thunderbolt 1 to FireWire 800 adapter) is not a USB device. It is a Thunderbolt device. Thunderbolt devices are basically PCIe devices.

Parallels VMs cannot use Thunderbolt or PCIe or FireWire devices.
Parallels VMs can use USB devices connected to Thunderbolt docks/hubs, Thunderbolt displays, USB displays/docks/hubs, or directly to the Mac.
Parallels VMs can use mass storage devices connected to USB or FireWire or SATA or NVMe or SAS or whatever.
