All of a sudden NO CD burning

I can't even copy anything to the DVD CD.

Yes, I'm using my physical CD-ROM in my VM. Yes, I checked the properties and yes the option Enable to Record on This CD Drive is checked.

I have done CD burning before in my VM. The only thing different is that I created an administration account named Steve Harper to my XP. That's it

Please help.
 
Hi Stevamundo, what drive do you have, just for interest? So, are you able to burn from built in administrator account ? Stupid question, are you sure that you have created an administrator account? Did you look into "Control panel-> Administrative Tools->Local Security Policy" applet. As I remember, there are some restrictions in WinXP for burning. Please, check it.

However it seems DVD CDs don't work. It's only CD-RWs that work it seems. BTW, I had to do it several times before it actually worked. However a Windows user told me that's often the case.

However why wouldn't DVD CDs work?
