[Advice] my parallel desktop development virtual machine is underperforming

Hi Parallels desktop

I'm curious why the standard Parallels desktop Linux Ubuntu virtual machine is sluggish. I am using the virtual machine for development. Therefore, I installed IntelliJ, Git, and Docker. My host machine is an Intel-based i7 Mac mini with 64GB of RAM with 1TB SSD. Is the underperformance due to software or a hardware problem? Does upgrading my Mac to a Mac Studio would resolve the issue? I am looking for thoughts and recommendations.

Hello,
As a solution, we suggest you to increase the resources of the virtual machine.
1. Open your virtual machine configuration > Hardware
2. Select CPU & Memory and then increase the processors and memory.
3. Kindly check if now the virtual machine is performing better than usual.
If the issue persists, collect a technical report (Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and send the report's 9-digit ID as a reply.
