Activation key for the box version PD9

Today I have purchased a boxed version of Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac. I am not going to use the internet purchases as I do not believe it is sufficiently safe for my card. The box contained an activation code on a glossy leaflet, so I entered the key into my trial version of PD9. And it claims "This key is invalid". For two days I was rumbling with trial version and now it seems that with boxed full version it is going to continue. Or should I return your product to retailer tomorrow? You really do not want my money?

Please advise me how to activate this legally purchased product.
