I have enabled SmartGuard on all my VMs, because I back them up using TimeMachine. However, SmartGuard usually waits for me to turn on the VM, and once it's up and running, prompts me to create a snapshot. Of course I can disable the prompts, but then it just takes the snapshot right away...

Hi. I've had to disable SmartGuard because not only is deleting and creating snapshots painfully slow, but now it closes (force quits) all my open apps when the process ends. I come back and all I see is the desktop. Any ideas what could be going on? Thanks.

I have SmartGuard set to retain 5 snapshots which is the last three daily, the last weekly, and the last monthly. That used to work, but without changing any settings, SmartGuard simply stopped deleting snapshots. By the time my VM file had grown so large that the drive it's on was running out...
