I am running a MacOS guest (Sierra currently) on Parallels 16 desktop. Obviously, most of the preinstalled applications are of no use in the guest as they are available on the MacOS host. Is there a "safe" way to remove the preinstalled apps, say with AppCleaner?
Dear all,
there are already at least 2 similar threads with the same topic but without any solution so far.
I just completely reinstalled my iMac mid2011 from scratch (after reformatting the drives).
I used the latest OSX supported for that model which is 10.13.6 High Sierra (where Parallels 11...
I have a MacBook Pro and I'm running Big Sur. I'd like to install either Yosemite or Sierra as a virtual machine. I downloaded the .dmg files but when I try to install them it says "unable to detect operating system." Customer support told me that I need to use an .app file, not a .dmg file. I...
Hi, Im about to try Parallels Desktop again after a while away.
Support have told me that PD16 will work ok on High Sierra 10.13.6, which my iMac is at (dont need to upgrade due to other programs) so this has made me look at v16 and not v15.
I don't have much space left on my MacHD and its a...
Hi,
I bought parallels to use Sierra on my new Mac because of an old program which has no support anymore.
But playing music on Sierra sounds so bad like through a phone (no difference which device or source).
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
I'm trying to install Parallels for the first time on a brand new iMac to run the older macOS Sierra. I've watched the Parallels video how to run 32 bit apps on Catalina and followed the instructions for installation, including downloading Sierra from the App Store. The problem is Sierra wasn't...
Hi--I'm having a couple of issues and I can't seem to find a solution.
I'm running Parallels 15 on a 2017 MacBook Pro with Mojave. I created a desktop in Parallels to run OSX Sierra. In Sierra, I cannot get caps lock to work. Also, my delete key wouldn't "delete/backspace" as it's supposed to...
I have a new MacBook Pro with High Sierra OS installed, but for my internship I need to be able to install and use Final Cut Pro 7, which can only be used with Sierra OS and earlier. So, I installed the Sierra OS using Parallels and have been trying to download Final Cut, but keep running into...
Situation:
My OS of choice is 10.9.5, for which Parallels 10 is the correct version.
I have Sierra 10.12 installed in a separate partition (I have to use it occasionally)
It's a pain having to boot into Sierra separately, I'd rather have it as a VM within Mavericks 10.9
When I tried, Parallels...
I'm attempting to install Final Cut Studio 3 (specifically Soundtrack Pro) on macOS 10.12.6, but the installer comes back with an error:

Hello,
I just set up a VM running macOS Sierra, on a macOS Sierra host (so that after upgrading the host to High Sierra, I can still run 32Bit apps in the VM).
But macOS as guest seems to miss most of the features i have with my other VMs (Windows 10, Ubuntu 14 LTS): there is no way to open...
I apologize for the length of this post, but I do not know how to ask the question without explaining why I am asking.
Earlier today I posted a question asking if I could install Parallels in an external usb 3 drive because I do not have a lot of spare space on my main system. I was told yes...
Hello.
Lately I've been having problems with my VM running Windows 10: once booted, everything seems to be running smoothly, but after 20 minutes or so the internet connection drops and, short of rebooting, nothing I've done seems to fix the problem. It used to work fine - and then out of the...
When I scroll in macOS 10.12.6 GUEST on a 10.12.6 host, the scrolling happens WAY too fast on an Apple Magic Trackpad 2. Right now when I scroll in Safari, for example, on the guest machine, just a slight movement of my two fingers makes the page JUMP way too far. I have to rock the tips of my...
My MacBook Pro has two partitions - one running MacOS Sierra 10.12.5 and the second running Mavericks 10.9.5 (for purposes of keeping commercially licensed software that is now only available as monthly/annually-paid subscriptions). I do not have any virtual systems.
I would like to install...
