screen recording no sound

I have selected all possible options from the drop down list to "Record audio from..." on screen recoprding. When I stop screen recording, it shows two files The MP4 audio file won't play on any of the windows applications. I've tried media player, Microsoft Chipchamp, movies & TV, and Windows...
