Hide Menu Icons

Hi - I am looking for some help with the Hide Menu Icons toolbox app.

When I run this, it practically makes my computer unusable due to repeatedly rearranging icons, which is a disruptive process. The rearranging icons pulls complete focus away from any other app; it happens repeatedly for no apparent reason and is continuous while the app is in use.

Hello,

Kindly reproduce the issue and collect a technical report (click the Parallels Toolbox icon > Settings (Gear) icon > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and send the report's 9-digit ID in reply to this post.
 
did this ever get addressed? It's maddening that it grabs focus every 5 or 10 seconds, puts that "Rearranging Icons" block up, hides the mouse and then does it again 5 seconds later. Is there a way to do this without grabbing focus or displaying that message? Getting screenshots and using send technical data is going to be challenging whe the mouse is hidden.
 
it also seems that if you are unfortunate enough to time things just right, the Rearranging Icons message will remain there until you quit the Hide Menu Icons app. This is on PT 7.0.0 (5272). Also a problem with the mouse occasionally disappearing when looking at the floating menu of hide menu icons. Sequoia 15.0.1

I have same isuse. please fix it, Sequoia 15.1
 
On my MACBOOK PRO M1 with SEQUOIA 15.1.1, I have exactly the same problem, the icons are reorganised very frequently and block the mouse and actions. So this tool is unusable as it is, and I have to disable it. This is annoying, because it's a very useful tool. It seems to me that it worked better before, with other versions of MAC OS.
 
I have the same issue just updated to Mac OS 15.2 and now parallels tool box keeps "rearranging Icons" I am considering turning off "Hide my Menu Icons" which I like because of this

Its really sad... such a good idea, and when it works, one of the best solutions for notched MacBooks out there.
It's just enraging UX. The OSD pops up ALL THE TIME. It hijacks the mouse, takes over window focus and is a very disruptive feature.
I suffered through 2 days of trying to be patient but disabled it after almost punching my screen :eek:
I'll wait until someone here posts that this has been fixed.

It sounds like the Hide Menu Icons app is constantly trying to manage icons, which can happen if it conflicts with other menu bar settings. You might try disabling it temporarily or checking for updates that address multi-monitor behavior.
