Hello community, I use Parallels 12 on a old Macbook pro (end 2014) on which I'm trying to install a windows application for CNC simulations. This is the error I get. I found this article https://kb.parallels.com/en/122735 which explains how to enable virtualization by uncheck the UEFI boot, but if I do that, the boot of Windows 10 remains stucked to this
Hello, If you have a Parallels Desktop Pro/Business Edition license, you can enable nested virtualization the way outlined in https://kb.parallels.com/116239. I believe that toggling this option would help you.
That's correct - you can give Parallels Desktop Pro a try. I've just registered a 5-day Parallels Desktop Pro key NK6ZMH-***-***-***-*** under your account, you can find it under https://my.parallels.com/ . Activate Parallels Desktop with the key and check if this option helps you to fix he issue. If yes, you can buy a Parallels Desktop Pro version on our website: https://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/buy/?upg .
Thanks a lot Mikhail, I apologise for the stupid question, but does it replace the permanent license of Parallels 12 or they will both coexists?
They both will remain registered under your account. It's just the product that will be activated with a Pro license. You can activate it with a Parallels Desktop 12 license at any time.
Thanks a lot Mikhail, everything has worked perfectly. To thank you I will upgrade to my v.12 to Parallels Desktop 17, just because I cannot manage a subscription as the Pro version requires. Again, thanks a lot for your help!
