1. Once hidden, none of the visible menu icons can be moved from the menubar (except from the Hide Menu Icons Preferences...)
2. The icons in the hidden section in the preferences menu seem washed out of any color, except for may be one

3. In the floating panel, the menu icons are washed out as well.

4. Clicking on any icon in the floating panel to exercise the menu icon either takes the mouse to the first display or opens up the launchpad.
5. If floating panel is disabled, the behavior is somewhat different, but one has to access the icons from the extended display, which beats the purpose of enabling this feature.
